Join Alaska Missions at the Iditarod finish line. Our task is two-fold: reach the local musher sub-culture as well as the local indigenous populations of the Bering Straits Region. We cheer on mushers crossing the finish line, permeate the volunteer force of the Iditarod, and help care for dropped dogs and race finishers. We function as the race’s volunteer infrastructure for the Iditarod Trail Committee and enjoy a longstanding relationship of mutual trust and respect with the leadership of the Iditarod. We serve the local indigenous populations on several fronts – varying from concessions at a large village basketball tourney, children’s home, Women’s Shelter, half-way house, and homeless shelter….We meet needs to break down walls so that we can share Christ. We hope to be able to bring hope & healing to the broken-hearted, and push back the darkness with the LIGHT of the World, JESUS. WE WILL SERVE AND GIVE over and over.

God has led us at FBC to partner with Resonate Church as they go to San Diego to help with a basketball camp that reaches families and refugees. The camp is run by staff and Resonate college students.

Each year we join a team of missionaries in Minden, Germany as we partner with Minden Evangelical Free Church and provide a baseball camp experience for kids ages 8-18.

Baseball Camp
Baseball camp is a very action-packed week.  You don’t have to be the most knowledgeable about baseball, nor the most athletic.  You just need to be capable of bringing energy and excitement on the field!

Cheerleading Camp
This last summer was the first year that cheerleading camp was added to the week and it was a huge success! If you have any cheerleading knowledge, this might be a great place to serve as well.

This summer we are headed back to the scenic Salt Lake Valley where we will continue to partner with Salt+Light Church as we lead a VBS in the heart of Mormon Country. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to share Jesus to kids and families who desperately seek Biblical truth and Jesus’ unconditional love.

The Preteen Mission Trip aims to broaden their perspective by exposing them to the world beyond their familiar surroundings. During the trip, preteens visit Church Under the Bridge, which primarily serves those experiencing poverty or homelessness. Through discussions, we highlight the similarities and differences between this church and their own, emphasizing that core practices like worship, sermons, and tithing unify all churches. Moreover, we engage in a prayer walk to intercede for various ministries and dedicate time to serving in different capacities to support these ministries. This experience provides preteens with an opportunity to cultivate a passion for serving others while discovering how they can use their God-given gifts for His glory.
